Levitra
Levitra is a medicine taken by mouth for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) in men.
The active substance is vardenafil (as hydrochloride trihydrate). Each tablet contains 20 mg of vardenafil.
The drug is available in three dose strengths- 5mg, 10mg and 20mg. The recommended starting dose is 10mg
Levitra allows an erection to last long enough for you to satisfactorily complete sexual activity.
It is taken about 25 to 60 minutes before sexual activity and it will only work when you are sexually stimulated.
The tablet should be swallowed about 25-60 minutes before sexual activity, however some men will achieve erections as quickly as 15 minutes after taking Levitra.
Men can still respond to sex stimulation up to 5 hours after taking the medicine.
The action of the drug is not generally affected by eating and moderate alcohol.
Don't use Levitra more than once a day. Take it only if sexual activity is expected.
Some common side effects with Levitra include:
headache
flushing
stuffy or runny nose
indigestion
upset stomach
dizziness
Men taking medicines containing nitrates in any form should not take Levitra.
Take this drug under medical recommendation only.
It is not intended for use by women, children or men under 18.
Levitra should not be taken with other erectile dysfunction treatments.
