Viagra condom
A condom with a kick that promotes safe sex could soon be on sale in Britain
This revolutionary innovation incorporates an erectogenic compound, chemical gel
that stimulates an erection
The contraceptive is in the pipeline of British company Futura Medical Plc.
The new condom will help men to practise safe sex, to prevent unwanted accidents
and to mantain man's performance throughout sexual intercourse. The gel that was
added to the condom to improve sexual potence will be licensed under the trademarked
brand name of Zanifil
The product, currently known as the "condom safety device" CSD500 is not a treatment
against serious erectile dysfunction, it will be a condom to be used by healthy men or men having
temporary problems.
James Barder, chief executive of Futura Medical Plc, said: "unlike Viagra, the condom
was meant for men who do not suffer from impotence problems, but even sexually healthy
men could find themselves unable to maintain an erection while wearing a condom because
of the loss of sensation."
Assuming a satisfactory outcome of this new product trials and a final regulatory review,
Futura Medical Plc anticipates the submission of the medical dossier to regulatory authorities
for an EU marketing authorisation
